Pizza delivery man robbed in Canyon Country

SANTA CLARITA – A pizza delivery man was robbed in Canyon Country late Thursday, sheriff’s officials said Friday.

Two men approached the delivery man and took his money by force around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway, a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department spokesman said. Both were reported to be wearing hoodies.

The robbers were not armed and fled on foot. A search into the night for the suspects turned up nothing, the spokesman said.

Two men brandishing baseball bats robbed a pizza delivery man in Canyon Country on Oct. 17, but a sheriff’s lieutenant said there’s no reason to believe Thursday night’s robbery was related to the earlier one.

The Oct. 17 robbery occurred in the 27000 block of Kansas Court.
