2 arrested with suspected stolen car in Val Verde

Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people at gunpoint in Val Verde on Thursday after locating what they believed was a stolen car, a lieutenant with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.

Deputies spotted a stolen white Saturn on a dirt lot near Val Verde Park at Arlington Street shortly before 9 a.m., Lt. John Rush said.

“They arrested two people in a stolen car,” he said. “The vehicle apparently had stolen property inside it.”

There were shots fired and force used, he said.

The two suspects were taken into custody and booked. Their names were not released Thursday.
